28 Weeks!

Little Todd is 28 weeks this week... only 12 more (or 13 if I am late) left to go! I did scheduling at work this week and started to PANIC that April is basically almost done. I realized I have so much left to do (or things I would like to do...not sure if they HAVE to get done) and there will be alot going on from now to then. This starts to be a busier time at work with wedding season starting in again.

The painting is not quite finished in the nursery and then I have to start searching for a dresser, chair and make some art. I better get going on that... Little Todd will be here before we know it!

Today he decided to lodge some limb in my side (not sure what he was pressing on) - but it hurt for basically the entire afternoon. I heard it only gets worse. Oh joy :) Lots to look forward to in the coming months as we have learned in our birth class!

Here are the Belly Pics this week:

A Real Belly Shot:

So how am I doing on my maternity clothes challenge? I have only spent $15 on "maternity" clothes. I did buy a pair of knit pants that have a stretchy waist band that I wear to work a few times a week. They are pretty comfy and look nice with dressy clothes - but they are not "maternity" pants and I would actually wear them after baby so they don't count. One of my friends is letting me borrow a bag of her maternity clothes  - so nice of her! :) I am still wearing mostly normal clothes; like the tank in the picture is just a long dressy tank and it still covers the belly. I definitely think my challenge of only spending $100 on actual maternity clothes is doable - and my prediction at this stage is that I will come UNDER budget. I would love that! :)

27 Weeks!

Baby P or "Little Todd" as I have been referring to him as.... has been growing more! He is about 2 pounds now! Crazy! I can feel his little kicks constantly - as Todd puts it - "soccer player in training" :) I am at that comfortable stage right now... where I actually look pregnant to strangers but I am not HUGE...yet! Maybe my belly could stay this size and he could still grow? I know it doesn't work that way.. but I wish.

26 Weeks

I am at 26 weeks this week and baby is still the size of an eggplant. I am still having the strangest dreams - I think this past week has been the craziest. Last night I had a dream about a robot/alien attacking the city I was in (anyone seen Battle LA? Those robot/aliens) and I was desperately trying to get away, I have had dreams about movies I have watched, one dream about having twin boys and then them turning into dogs, and having a 13 pound baby at 25 weeks. Yes. I have had some strange dreams. I guess it is all part of it...

How have I been doing with my maternity clothes challenge of only spending $100 on "maternity" clothes? Well I got two shirts this weekend.. for free. So I still remain at only spending $15. $85 left I can spend. I posted yesterday about some of my goals - and one of them is to learn to coupon and get things for great deals. Target.com has great coupons sometimes and I printed off some "$3 off a maternity apparel item" when I saw them posted a few weeks ago. I browsed the sale racks and found 2 t-shirts for $2.48 each - using 2 $3 off coupons - I got them for FREE! :) I like free!

24 Weeks!

I am at 24 weeks this week! Baby is still the size of a papaya. The bump is definitely getting bigger!

Last week Todd and I started our baby class/birth class at Mayo. It seems kind of early, but we had a conflict later so it was the only one we could really fit into our schedules. It was interesting to learn some new things. My family came for Friday night and Saturday and it was so fun to have them here. My mom, sister and I did some shopping and I found these on a great sale. Can you get much cuter than tiny baby plaid shorts? ADORABLE! :)

How am I doing on my maternity clothes challenge? Still have only spent $15 dollars. Woohoo! I did get a few cute pregnancy shirts given to me which was such a blessing. I may have to break down and finally buy some work pants but so far the belly band and my longer shirts are working just fine!

Week 22

So this week I am at 22 weeks. This week Sweet P is the size of a Papaya. I realized after putting up the picture that Baby will be staying this size for a while... so no surprise in the next couple weeks... but I will still put up pictures of the bump.
Picture from thebump.com

So I realized after downloading these pictures how pathetic my bump looks in these pictures. I feel like it does not do justice to what I think my bump really looks like. I feel in the last couple days my stomach has grown alot! People actually can tell I am pregnant without me telling them I am. Woo hoo! I guess that is a milestone huh? :)

Week 22 has not been a very good week though... I am just recovering from a GI Virus (Stomach virus)... YUCK! I felt pretty tired on Thursday (but what is new... I am pregnant!) and then I woke up on Friday morning and felt like a truck hit me. I had a terrible stomach ache, felt nauseous and felt like I had a fever. I worked a few hours then came home and slept and felt even worse... body aches, chills, feverish. Saturday I felt alot better but then Sunday I felt just worn out and like my fever was back. Sunday night I tossed and turned from awful stomach pains and from worry... not knowing what this was! I called the hospital the next morning who confirmed this was just a virus going around... I started to feel better Monday and Tuesday and today I finally feel pretty good. They said it could take up to a week to get over this so hopefully it is finally out of my system!! I have been eating lots of crackers and toast lately to not upset my stomach, but I have been craving a Culver's Cheeseburger Kids Meal all week. I think I am finally up to eating it so now hopefully the hubby picks one up on his way from work! :)

21 Weeks and my Maternity Clothes Challenge

21 Weeks this week and baby is the size of a Banana (which I partly don't get when Baby was a Cantaloupe last week...) Woohoo... Coming along!
So I realized after I uploaded this photo that you really can't see the bump good - but I feel like I actually have a bump and people can actually tell that I am preggo now (and not just pudgy)
Baby is the size of a Banana!

So my Maternity Clothes Challenge... I have challenged myself to only spend $100 on maternity clothes while being pregnant. I think it is totally doable and it will force to me be creative...but why spend a ton of money on clothes I will only wear for a few months? I have alot of empire waisted dresses and some stretchy skirts, along with some billowy non-pregnant shirts and long tanks, so I think I can get through with just getting some plain tops and pairing them with one of the 15 cardigans I have...

So what I have bought so far?

I have bought a pair of maternity jeans (which I broke out tonight- and wow are they comfy!) on clearance at Old Navy for $7.

I have also bought a belly band from Forever 21 for $8 which keeps my regular pants up but allows me to keep them unbuttoned. Genius Idea...

Here is the Belly band in action holding up my pre-preggo jeans... They make my pants pretty comfy (not as good as my maternity jeans - I think I am in love) When your shirt is pulled down  - it looks like I am wearing a long black tank top.

So that is all I have bought for my challenge - total is a whopping $15. $85 left to spend.
My wonderful sis-in-law gave me some adorable maternity shirts for my birthday - I don't count these in my total because it was a gift!

So do you think I can do it? Only spend $100 on maternity clothes or is that totally unrealistic? I'll keep ya posted on that one...

20 Weeks - Halfway there!

I find this week hard to believe... this week Baby is the size of a cantaloupe. Really it is that big? I don't feel like it could be that big... but here it is...
(From thebump.com)

And of course the baby bump...

I officially made it through half my pregnancy wearing my normal pants with no help. Woohoo! Once last Thursday hit, I started to wear my belly band (more on that later...) so now I can unbutton my normal pants - but wear this belly band to keep the pants up. Genius idea. So now I am constantly wearing my belly band or comfy sweats... no more normal pants.

I think this little boy has a sweet tooth (or maybe it is just me... but I blame it on the babe). I was ecstatic to purchase a box of thin mint girl scout cookies on Monday at work and preceded to eat half the box within a half hour... ok so there really aren't that many cookies in there... :) No worries - I am not quite through the other half of the box. I did purchase some thin mint ice cream though (recommended by my sis-in-law- thanks Hil!) and that is some good stuff too. So that is my craving this week - thin mints. Who knows what it will be next week...

I haven't felt the Baby move yet - they said my placenta is in the front so it may take longer to feel it - but I am hoping soon! It is so nice to finally know what we are having... it was starting to drive me nuts. I have the nursery all planned out which I am so excited to start doing! Maybe I will share some inspiration photos soon of the look I am going for...

So that is my little "half-way there" update... Be back soon to talk about my "maternity clothes challenge"...

It's a ______ Our Gender Reveal Party

We found out what we were having on Monday - Valentine's Day. What a fun day!! :) It was nice to FINALLY know what we were having! Yay!

Here is our favorite picture of our little Sweet P... Baby looks like it is laughing

We had a little gender reveal party at our house yesterday with our families - we missed our brothers Skyller and Jared - but everyone else was able to come. Our family was finally excited to find out what we were having after almost a week of knowing ourselves. They would find out by eating a cupcake with a gumball in the center - the color would tell them the gender.

Some Boy and Girl Decorations...

We had a few different treats we served. White Chocolate covered pretzel sticks with blue or pink sugar.

We took a Gender Poll to see what everyone thought we were having.

The Spread.

Puppy Chow, Pretzels, Jelly Beans, Blue Juice or Pink Lemonade, and of course the cupcakes.

We took a couple pictures of the "teams"

Team Girl:

 Team Boy:

Here are the infamous cupcakes that everyone was waiting for. They held the answer of what we were having...

 Everyone opening up the cupcake...
 It's a....
We are having a Baby Boy!! :) We are so excited!

Bella is excited to have a little brother!

So we are halfway done with our pregnancy! 20 weeks til we meet our SON! Woohoo!

Week 19

This week Baby is the size of a Mango...

(Photo from thebump.com)

Here is a real picture of a mango in my hand. It is a terrible picture - but I took it in the grocery department in Walmart on my cell phone so I didn't have to pay for it.

Here are some pictures of the bump:
This is from the day we found out what baby sweet p is.... but we can't share with the world what it is until this weekend after a little party we have with our family.

Tomorrow I will be at the half way point... Woohoo!! :)
