11 months

Oh man, we are just a week from being 1. That is so crazy! I can't believe that my sweet little teeny, tiny baby is walking and super active. I just love this goofy girl!

Loves/Learning to do: Walking! She is off. Just last week it was a walk/crawl combo. Now is it mostly  just walking, but she still crawls a bit. She is getting faster and better every day. She still falls alot but is confident.

Sienna loves to splash alot in the bathtub, loves playing with all her brother's toys, and throwing every cup out of the kid dish drawer. She loves eating her snacks at the little table and looks so grown up sitting there eating. Three new teeth are making an appearance which makes 11. She babbles and isn't really saying "momma" very much anymore, but when she drops her cup she tries to say "uh oh." Her little personality is starting to come out and I think she is gonna be a little feisty and funny.

10 months

Oh this little love... just growing up so fast! 10 months already! Her goofy little personality is starting to come out. I just love it and my absolute favorite is hearing both of the kiddos laugh at each other.

Learning to do/Loves: She hasn't started walking yet but is getting more confident standing and walking around things and has taken a few tiny steps. Sienna learned how to clap last month. She has learned a little two handed wave but sometimes does just a one handed wave...it cracks me up everytime I see it.

Eats: Loves hardboiled eggs, yogurt, cheerios, cheese, sweet potatoes, watermelon, strawberries and always has a cracker in each hand.

9 months

9 months... I just can't believe that it is now only about 2 months til her 1st birthday. Everyday I am noticing that she is trying hard to become a toddler instead of a baby and wants to keep up with her brother. She is very active... just like Brecken! At her last appointment she was about 18 pounds, she is mostly in 6-9 months clothes, and is getting her 8th tooth coming through. Finally, she is starting sleep through the night again after going months without doing that...dumb teeth! She likes to turn herself around in shopping carts and has a bit of a daredevil streak to her.

Loves/Learning to do: She is starting to stand on her own and walking around things and pushing her doll stroller around. She especially likes to walk around in her little walker, running into everything. She gets really happy when she sees a doll and is starting to like dolls... so cute. She says "mamama" and "dadada" and I love it that she can say my name!

Eating: Chicken, watermelon, strawberries, bananas, avocado and peaches. She loves crackers and cheese especially. Sienna makes a terrible mess when she eats. She rips off the bib halfway through and the food goes all over her face and clothes.

8 months

My little lovey is 8 months; 9 months tomorrow. This girl is developing quite a little personality and I just love it... and she is on the move big time these days...getting into a lot! She no longer likes to be held or contained - she just wants to be free to roam!

Loves/Learning to do: Sienna LOVES to be on the move crawling, pulling up on everything, and is starting to walk around things. She loves being in her little walker and runs around in it. She is fast in it but it hurts when she runs into you! Sienna says "mamamama" all the time and I absolutely love it! Not sure if she knows what she is saying but it warms my heart. Todd is working hard to get her to say "dada" but no such luck yet! I just love her grab-your-face-open-mouth-kisses and her goofy, cheesy smile. Her hair seems to be growing a bit and when it gets wet or sweaty looks a bit curly. I really hope she gets curly hair like I had as a kiddo!

Hates: Her carseat. Every time I need to put her in it, it is like a wrestling match with all the squirming and crying. She has started to cry when she is in it too. Bummer. She is starting to fuss or scream when she doesn't get her way - she has a little strong will to her!

Eats: She eats cherrios all the time. She loves puffs even more, but she polishes them off so fast that I don't buy them too often any more. She loves the cheese/garden veggie puff snacks that look like cheetos. Baby cookies are another favorite of her. She gets so excited when she sees the bag. Sienna tried cake this month and absolutely it. Her favorites foods are cheese, chicken, strawberries, bananas, avocados, and apples.

7 Months

I have every intention to blog more than I do... and then the end of the month comes around and I realize I need to get my monthly update posted for Sienna, realizing that nothing else got blogged. Oh well. I think things were a bit slower when she was a newborn/tiny baby! I think now that she is mobile... things are more interesting with two!

Seriously, time needs to slow down a bit. I am so glad we are done with that terribly long winter and on to summer, but this girl is growing up SUPER fast.

This girl is on the move - BIG time. She knows when I am gonna catch her and she crawls faster in an attempt to get away from me. She is now pulling up on everything and every single thing goes in the mouth. A moving baby and a messy toddler don't always work the best together. I've already fished things out of her mouth and don't think I will be done doing that for a long time.
Tooth #5 is pushing through. I would love to be done with teething for a while since it seems like it has been non-stop teething since the middle of March with her first tooth. She has not slept good since that first tooth poked through. I am convinced it is the teething, but maybe she just isn't a good sleeper anymore?

Loves/Learning: To do flips - I think we have a future gymnast because she loves hanging upside down and loves to do flips. She is great at giving sloppy open mouth kisses on command that I LOVE to get. Sienna loves taking baths and splashing in the water. She just loves her big brother and is fascinated by him, always watching and paying attention to what he is doing. She is starting to try to wave too.

Eat: She still is obsessed with puffs. She even gets excited when she sees the puff container. She is starting to love baby foods especially peaches, pears, apples and strawberries.

6 months

Hello 6 months, and hello moving everywhere! This girl is officially on the move! Sisi is such a sweet little thing. She is starting to remind me more and more of Brecken as a baby as she is now all over the place crawling under tables and attempting to pull herself up on stuff. At her 6 month appointment she was 24 inches and 16.3 pounds fitting in half 3- 6 month clothes and half 6- 9 month clothes.

Learning to do: She has learned to crawl and she is getting faster! She is even starting to want to pull herself up and trying to stand - that is only a matter of time too. Her third tooth (on top) is starting to poke through so everything is going into her month. That is probably why she isn't sleeping very good lately, waking up one or many times a night. It could also be from transitioning her into her crib (I waited a long time to move her from my room, I know!). Brecken and Sienna took their first bath together the other day and they had an absolute blast. She loves taking baths, especially with him. She is starting to babble and she makes some hilarious facial expressions.

Loves: Being on the move, chewing on everything, splashing in the bath tub, being entertained by her big brother, and wearing headbands ;)

Dislikes: She is starting to not like to be contained. She wants freedom to move so putting her in the exersaucer or walker doesn't last long.

Eating: She loves puffs and we are working on trying new baby foods. She has tried oatmeal, green beans, peas,  sweet potatoes, and apples. Apples for sure have been her favorite. She seems to eat it pretty good but manages to spit some on to me.

Florida

About a month ago, we went down to Florida for a few days with some of my husband's family. It was a fun time of enjoying the amazing sun and warm weather that we greatly missed this awful winter. We got to do alot of fun things while we were there including going to the zoo (where Brecken got to feed a giraffe), a car museum, the beach, boating, swimming and going out to eat. Sienna got to meet her Florida great-grandparents for the first time while she was down there. Flying with two kids was not as bad as I thought and they both did great! Here are some fun photos of our trip:
