Bump Photos: Weeks 19 & 20

It was actually still 18 weeks when we found out we were having a baby girl, but weeks 19 & 20 have been filled with excitement of the gender reveal parties with our families, another ultrasound, and starting to buy pink stuff! Yes, Baby Sweet P already has a pink headband with a flower. I could not resist.

Here is a picture of Baby girl and her profile that we got at our doctor's appointment... I am in love with that sweet little profile already!

Later that week, I got another ultrasound done by my cousin! She was leaving for Africa in a few days to do ultrasounds in the mission field (so awesome!) and wanted to try out the portable ultrasound machine on someone pregnant. It was fun to have her do it and see her in action (I was so impressed!) and also to see Baby Girl again. She got lots more great images, but my favorite was one that looked like Sweet P was signing "I love you." It was so amazing!

I have been feeling baby move ALOT lately! It is such a wonderful feeling!

Puff Centerpieces

It was graduation today at the preschool I work at and I was in charge of coming up with some decorations. There were refreshments in the gym after the graduations and I needed to come up with something for the tables. I had some leftover graduation centerpieces from last year along with some cute owl graduation balloons I used on some of the tables.

I wanted something fun and different with a kiddish twist for the other tables. I found three-toned puff balls at the party store and an idea came to me. I bought four packs of three puffs. I have made puffs before, but it was easier just buying the packs of them and fluffing them myself.

I had these glass cylinders from Hobby Lobby from a previous event and my idea was to put the puff on top of the vase. The inside of the vase needed something as a filler and I originally thought jelly beans would be great. Instead I found colored licorice at Walmart and used it as the vase filler. I stuffed a bit of the puff into the vase and then taped it to the vase. Success! A fun, unique and very colorful centerpiece geared towards kids!

Baby Girl Nursery Inspiration

Now that I know what the gender is, I can start planning the nursery! Since I truly believed it was a boy, I had a whole nursery planned out in my head. I was going to do a lime green, navy, and whales theme. When I found out it was a girl, I was thrilled, but a bit bummed I wouldn't get to do a fabulous whale nursery....

But I got back on Pinterest and found some inspiration pictures for a beautiful girl nursery. What I am thinking is doing gray walls, white crib/furniture and pink accessories. I am still undecided if I want to do a mix of hot pink and light pink or just do more light pinks and make it really soft and girly looking. For art, I want to do some cutesy bird prints and possibly paint some birch trees in the room.

Here are some pictures of my inspiration:

Happy Spring!

My plan was to take "21 month" pictures - but these were actually "22 month" photos - but I love to get photos of Brecken every few months to later see the changes. With the help of Aunt Coco, we hit up a park for some fun photos. Of course with a toddler, it is an adventure... a few minutes into taking the pictures, he sat down in the river, but at least we had a change of clothes!

 22 months - going on 6 years :)
