This year's Easter was a bit different than last Easter. Last year we were on vacation in Florida with hot weather and a baby instead of a toddler. Also, this year Brecken loved the Easter "hunny" as he calls it; last year he was horrified with the bunny.
My family came for the weekend and we were able eat lunch and spend time with both our families. I made some egg bake and cinnamon rolls in the morning before church and then Brecken dyed some eggs. We went to church to celebrate the real reason of Easter. After church we headed to eat Easter brunch and that's where Brecken met the "hunny" and gave him non- stop high fives. He then enjoyed an egg hunt and several easter baskets of goodies. Easter was fun with him this year; starting new traditions and dressing him up in a little suit jacket.
Although it is fun to enjoy brunch with family and dye Easter eggs, the real reason for the holiday is to celebrate that Jesus is Risen! I hope you had a great Easter weekend!
